Back steps & Retaining Walls

Last night when we got home from work, we had a letter from our friends at the building company - a variation order to sign for the back steps that everyone forgot would be needed, from the sliding doors on the two side rooms to the sunken alfresco area.

It actually sounds like they didn't stuff it up this time!

We also had a call earlier in the day, about the mythical retaining wall that the neighbouring property's building company is claiming we need to put up on our perfectly flat block on a perfectly flat street. Apparently the construction managers are going out there today to look at the area in question.
